The harmony between the organizer of the fair, Córdoba Ecuestre, and the City Council will be realized this quarter, as announced by the mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, in the final transfer of the Royal Stables first, with the aim of launching the International Horse Center.
“We are waiting for the final report of the technical documentation presented by Cordoba Horse Riding and, at the same time, we carry out the economic evaluation of the property, to calculate the costs that should be paid,” said the mayor regarding the transfer, which he hopes to have achieved with great progress in the file by the end of the year. In this way, we would put the icing on the cake of an equestrian year that has already seen the VI Spanish Dressage Cup last June, an activity that can be considered a preamble to what is to come.
Cabalcor starts with the Spanish Dressage Cupwhich will take place on days September 10 and 11. 50 pairs from all over the country will participate. As announced by the president of Córdoba Ecuestre, Rafael Blanco, it will be the first time which takes place in the courtyard of the Royal Stablesbecause before that it took place in the garden.
This change was possible thanks to the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation accepting the proposal to use this site as an official track, which required an extension. From September 26 to 28 Cabalcor’s alma mater will be celebrated, as it gave birth to him and is older than the fair itself, that is, the International Morphological Competition ‘City of Cordoba‘. It celebrates its XXIX edition, for the XXII organized by Cabalcor, which was built by adding other activities to said competition. The president of the Provincial Association of Breeders of Purebred Spanish Horses, Enrique Lovera, announced that between 120 and 130 horses would participate, although there is no official data yet since the registration period is still open.
