He Cadreita Town Hallnext to the new created Cadreita Paddle Clubsuccessfully completed the First Cadreita Tomato Tournamentdistinguishing itself both by participation and by the influx of the public.
During the last two weekends, October 25, 26 and 27 as well as November 1, 2 and 3, the municipal sports facilities were the scene of this event which brought together 14 couples in the men’s category and 6 in the women’s category.
The council played a fundamental role in organizing the tournament, providing the pitches, support staff, water for the players and various prizes.
Prices included lots of local products from companies such as Conservas Ría, Anko, Ferba and Ian, as well as cash prizes of 150 euros for the champions of the two categories and 50 euros for finalistsadding a total of 800 euros in price. The trophies were made by the local company RegalLaser Art.
The mayor Berta Pégénaute He expressed his gratitude to all the participants, the public and the Cadreita Paddle Club for their efforts in the organization. “This long-awaited event had the special distinction of the ‘Tomato of Cadreita’”, underlined Pegenaute.
The atmosphere of the tournament was one of celebration and camaraderie, highlighting the values of healthy life and of healthy competition. The mayor expressed her desire to consolidate this tournament in the city’s sports calendar, hoping that it will be maintained and developed in future editions, as a boost for the social life by Cadreita.
