When Mossos Traffic officers arrived at the scene, they found the two occupants of the overturned vehicle, two young people aged 22 and 25who were slightly injured and were taken to Vic Hospital. In addition, the officers learned from information provided by a witness that the driver who caused the accident had fled the scene.
Shortly afterwards, an off-duty Barcelona Urban Police officer informed the Mossos of the location of the fugitive driver, who, about 9 kilometres from the scene of the accident, had been forced to stop because A wheel of his vehicle had been seriously damaged. following the collision.
When the traffic police arrived, they identified the driver, who turned out to be a 45 year old priestrector of Camprodón, who showed clear symptoms of driving under the influence of alcohol.
