Canal Sur is looking for writers with salaries of 1,500 euros per month: these are the requirements

Working as an editor at Canal Sur is not an easy task, especially without going through a selection process. However, Radio Television of Andalusia (RTVA) is calling temporary hiring positions at the Andalusian Employment Service. These are replacement contracts, which in this case must cover positions in Almeria and Granada.

Among the required conditions is to be in possession of the title of Journalism degree or equivalent. Selected individuals will perform tasks such as researching, evaluating, preparing and communicating information deemed of interest for dissemination; researching information and documenting newsworthy events that occur; and evaluating and proposing newsworthy facts.

In addition, they will have to coordinate and direct the process of developing the content of the information in which they intervene; write the content of information programsas well as the scripts; and, exercise the rest of the functions established in the collective agreement in force.

Contract type and salary

In the case of Almeria’s offer for a position as editor, it is a 3.5 hour per day relief contract with a duration of 246 days. The monthly salary is 1,586.80 euros. The position of editor in Granada has the same characteristics except for the duration, which will be 76 days.

According to the Andalucía Orienta service, “a selective process is required for temporary hiring, through replacement contracts“, until the selection process for the definitive coverage is completed, of various personnel positions authorized by the Junta de Andalucía charged at the replacement rates corresponding to the years 2022 and 2023.”

The contracts will be maintained until definitively allocate the places obtained during the selection processRoyal Decree-Law 32/2021 of December 28 and Law 20/2021 of December 28 emphasize that the maximum duration of these temporary contracts can never exceed three years.
