The elections to presidency and board of directors of the Anaitasuna club from Pamplona They had a surprising end due to the victory of the aspiring candidate, and above all because of the big difference in the votes obtained.
The elections took place Saturday September 28 coinciding with the celebration of the Osasuna – Barcelona match at the El Sadar stadium.
Two candidates were in the running. That of Merche López, who aspired to re-election after winning the elections four years ago, and the applicant José Manuel Narváiz Ayerrasince at the last minute a third candidate withdrew, Pablo Herrero del Barrio.
The final result was largely in favor of the candidate, who obtained 976 of the 1,298 members who exercised their right to vote. That’s to say, Narváiz obtained no less than 75.19% of the votes. Merche López obtained only 303 votes (23.34%).
The new president’s first statements were as follows: “We are a board of directors that will be close to the partner. “We are committed to respecting all points of the electoral program,” said the Pamplona club.
In the said electoral program, the following reflection was highlighted: “The first thing I want to clarify, because I think it is acceptable to say that Contrary to the smears made by others, I am not here to destroy handball. On the contrary, I come to reaffirm this section which brings us so much on a daily basis, within the framework of its own autonomy and the viability of the club, like the rest of the sections. »
The inauguration ceremony of the new president It took place this Thursday, October 3. The new delegated partners and members of the new board of directors took part.
The people accompanying José Manuel Narváiz are: Gabriel Maeztu (vice-president), Ixone Antía (secretary), Belén Lapuente (treasurer), Fermín Ibarrola (member), Pablo Herrero (member), Naiara Arrastia (member), Joseba Díaz de Garayo (member), Pablo Arriba (member ) and Cristina Delgado (member of the Peña Anaitasuna).
