The Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) is now ready to welcome tomorrow, Saturday October 12, the Canoe Trophy I Ciutat de Palmaa sporting event in a new format which will bring together 32 elite athletes from 9 countries. Participants in the competition, which will take place on the Parc de la Mar lake, include 30 Olympic medals and more than 380 international podiums.
Athletes will have the opportunity to test the Parc de la Mar track, located at the foot of Mallorca Cathedral, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. today Friday. In the afternoon, at 6:00 p.m., the official presentation of the event will take place in the Sala Magna of the RCNP.
On Saturday, the Parc de la Mar will become the scene of an intense day of canoeing. From 9:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. the elimination phases of the Elite group will be played, while, from 11:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., it will be the turn of the youth competition.
The Elite group semi-finals and finals will take place in the afternoon, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in a regatta which promises to offer spectacular images, particularly during the ciaboga maneuver required by the short length of the lake.
Among the most notable names in the competition are Saul Craviottowith 6 Olympic medals, with his Spanish K4 teammates Carlos Arévalo, Rodrigo Germade and the Majorcan Marcus Cooper, medalist three times. The Germans also stand out Tom Liebesher And Jacob Schopf, as well as Portuguese Fernando Pimenta. In the women’s category, the Pole leads the participation Anna Puławska and the Germans Paulina Paszek And Jule Merlu all double medalists at the recent Paris Olympic Games.
The organization will install Free access stands at Parc de la Marnext to the wall, and food and entertainment stands for the public to enjoy this sporting event.
