The vehicle carrying Russian ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev hit a mine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

It was reported that today Albert Khorev participated with several other diplomats in the summit on tourism organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The escort car was hit by a mine while it was heading to the hotel from Mingora in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as a result of which several police personnel were injured,” the statement said.
According to reports, the diplomats were not injured as a result of the incident.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced that a police vehicle belonging to the main intelligence unit fell upon an improvised explosive device, resulting in the deaths of the police officers.
“All members of the diplomatic corps have returned safely to Islamabad,” the ministry said.
