THE car explosion sowed chaos this Monday with the Valencia Congress Center. The car caused a large column of smoke which was seen behind the building after it had burned completely engulfed in flames.
Some witnesses who witnessed the event told EL ESPAÑOL that a car was set on fire in the parking lot next to the EOI València-Benicalap educational center.
The burning car was located near the tracks where the urban tramway passes, so it had to interrupt its normal operation.We thought the school was burning from here” explains Paula Sánchez, an employee of a hotel near the site.
“The fire is getting bigger by the day and the car keeps exploding. The windows of the cars parked nearby are breaking,” the witness said. “I assume that the children and teenagers from the school are being evacuated because they are all outside the premises,” he added.
For now, there is no evidence of the origin of the event, according to municipal sources consulted by this media. Although the firefighters have already carried out the corresponding extinguishing tasks.
