Carlos Mazón attends the tribute to the victims of Covid-19

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazonattended this Tuesday the tribute to the residents of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón victims of the COVID-19[feminine

This act collectively recognizes those who died during the pandemic on the eve of the celebration of October 9, established last year.

This commemoration took place in the presence of the Vice-President and Minister of Social Services, Equality and Housing, Susana Camarero; the Minister of Economy, Finance and Public Administration, Ruth Merino; the Minister of Health, Marciano Gómez; the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá and the president of Les Corts, Llanos Massó.

One was filed crown of flowers at the monument which pays homage to the victims, in an act which seeks to “fight against oblivion”.

“For every one of the people that this horrible pandemic has stolen from us and that we will never stop remember. Today we honor each of these lives,” Mazón said in a social media post.

For his part, Catalá emphasized that the law serves to “honor THE memory of those who have lost their lives due to Covid-19. We will never forget the lessons of solidarityof care and humanity that this crisis has taught us”, he underlined, also on social networks.

The event took place this October 8, the day chosen by the Generalitat to remember the victims of covid, and took place in front of the sculpture “The Land Register”, created by Rosana Antolí of Alcoa, created in memory of those who died from covid-19 and located in the Umbracle.
