Farewell tribute to Rafa Nadal After Spain lost to the Netherlands in the Davis Cup quarter-finals, there was a clamor.
After the criticism of David Ferrer And Tony Nadal, Carlos Moya was even more forceful and called him “disheveled” and “pathetic”.
In fact, the former tennis player and until now coach of Manacorí criticizes the fact that they had a lot of time to perform at their level.
“The feeling we all have is that the goodbyes were disheveled and lousy. It was true that it was a Tuesday night, but they were months ahead and we knew that if Spain lost, Rafa would retire. Nadal is way above all that,” he explained on ‘Onda Cero’.
Concerning his student’s farewell, he recognizes that Rafa himself began to realize little by little that his end was approaching despite his efforts to delay it.
“Everyone deals with it in a different way. Rafa and I have similarities: we cling to an operation like a burning nail, it doesn’t go well at all and little by little you realize that the end is near“, he added.
