Almost three weeks after DANA hit the Valencian Community, the outlook remains bleak in many regions. Dry mud covers sidewalks, roads, houses and cars, but what attracts the most attention is an unusual phenomenon: vegetation growing among the accumulated mud.
In one surprising case, grass was observed growing not only on abandoned cars, but even inside them. In the air vents, where air should circulate, small green plants are now emerging. This phenomenon was favored by recent heavy rains, accompanied by high temperatureswhich created ideal conditions for vegetation to grow in unexpected places.
The images of these cars, covered in mud and with grass growing inside, are not only curious, but also show the extent of the abandonment. Many of these streets, as they were left after the flood, they remain without being cleaned or intervenedwith vehicles immobilized in the same place for almost a month.
