Case opened in Kamchatka for fictitious registration of immigrants

The police discovered the fact of violation of immigration legislation together with employees of the Center for Combating Extremism.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code: fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person at the place of stay in Russia. The maximum penalty provided for in the article is a prison sentence of up to three years.

Earlier in Moscow, police detained three men on suspicion of organizing illegal migration, who entered into fictitious work contracts with visitors. Immigrants who did not work anywhere were registered en masse in hostels or in the housing of “disadvantaged and unemployed citizens”, who were sought for this purpose by accomplices of the accused in the case.

The criminals found their clients posting ads on instant messengers. In total, more than a thousand people took advantage of the attackers’ services. The defendants in the case received from 5 thousand to 10 thousand rubles. From each client, in total they earned more than 5 million rubles.
