Ceasefire in Lebanon: media reported new details

US special envoy Amos Hochstein arrived in Beirut for important talks with Lebanese Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who represents Hezbollah’s interests.

This was reported by The Times Of Israel.

The visit is part of a broader diplomatic effort to find ways to end the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been going on for about a month.

Before meeting the Lebanese prime minister, Hochstein visited Berri’s residence in Beirut. The speaker of parliament is tasked with negotiating on behalf of Hezbollah, making him a key figure in the conflict resolution process.

Israel, for its part, has already prepared the conditions for a diplomatic agreement and delivered them to the United States. These terms are expected to serve as a basis for upcoming negotiations and a possible ceasefire in Lebanon.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that the channel of the country’s prime minister assassinated by Hezbollah resumed broadcasting in Lebanon.

The channel has been down for more than five years since the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri.

Kursor also reported that Hezbollah is ready for diplomatic negotiations, but there is a nuance.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem stated that Lebanon is included in Israeli “expansion plans” and proposed conditions for the start of diplomatic negotiations.

“Cursor” also advises reading that Hezbollah is ready for a war of attrition.

Even though Hezbollah has lost much of its infrastructure, the group is capable of waging a war of attrition.
