Ceasefire in the north – media published Lebanese conditions

Lebanon formulated its ceasefire conditions, which were transferred to the US side. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Hezbollah leaders declared their “determination to defend national interests” and not allow them to depend on Israel’s interests. Lebanon insists on a complete and immediate ceasefire without preconditions and also demands the withdrawal of IDF forces from the country.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

Any agreement, Lebanese officials say, must be based on UN Resolution 1701, adopted after the Second Lebanon War, which obliges Israel to stop border violations.

At the same time, Lebanon categorically rejects any attempt to link the return of its refugees to political or military agreements. The restoration of the southern regions of the country, according to Beirut, should begin immediately after the ceasefire, without waiting for new agreements.

Furthermore, Lebanon insists on a total ban on Israel and the United States from carrying out any military operations on its territory and rejects the possibility of expanding the foreign military presence.

It is noted that amid tensions in Lebanon, there are accusations that Hezbollah’s leadership has distanced itself from activists and government officials, which is causing concern in both Lebanon and the Arab world.

Previously, Cursor wrote about how much Lebanon spent on the war between Israel and Hezbollah.

Lebanon’s economic losses during the war affected trade, tourism and agriculture.
