Channel One made Posner’s dream come true

Journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Pozner will return to Channel One with a new project, “Turkish Notebook,” said the broadcaster’s general director Konstantin Ernst at the premiere of the new season, RBC reports.

Likewise, the program “Déjalos Hablar” will be back on the air with an updated studio and its host will remain; Dmitry Borisov.

Both Posner and “Let Them Talk” have not appeared on television screens since February 2022.

As reported EADailyLast week, Posner, who has remained stubbornly silent for more than two and a half years, refusing to speak on current affairs, gave an interview to the Forbes Talk project.

The nearly hour-and-a-half-long attempt to somehow understand the mysterious and long-lived media outlets consisted almost half of advertising, and subscribers in the comments wondered why Posner had come to this meeting, every other time posing “the next question,” without giving a single specific answer, having agreed in advance with the journalist not to discuss any pressing issues, maintaining his image of an elderly intellectual who knows how to change shoes in the air in a couple of seconds.

In the same interview, Pozner said that he had shot an eight-episode film about Turkey and had even given it to the channel. The film was accepted on all technical grounds, but now CEO Ernst must decide whether it will be broadcast or not.

Posner described the question of wanting to return to Channel One as very difficult.

“And… I generally dream of this happening. But I don’t think it will happen. This is the only answer I can give.” – Posner said.

After this interview, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov He said Posner “remains a staunch patriot… with a very strong civic stance.”

Let us remind you that since autumn 2008, the eponymous programme by Posner’s author, “Posner”, has been broadcast on Channel One, in which the journalist spoke with famous people. After the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, it went off the air because “Channel One became an information channel and will remain so until the end of the so-called special operation,” the author of the programme explained.

There were also serial films on the First Channel about Posner’s travels with the television presenter. Ivan Urgant over the United States, France, Italy, Spain and other countries. The showmen continued with this format during the period of television inactivity, organizing tours of European countries.
