Cooperation between the Muslim communities of Chechnya and Georgia was discussed at a meeting in Grozny between the mufti of Chechnya, Salakh Mezhiev, and the mufti of East Georgia, Etibar Eminov, who heads the All Georgia Muslim Board.
“The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of spiritual ties between the Muslim communities of the two republics. Particular attention was paid to joint initiatives in the field of religious education, cultural exchange and support for Islamic traditions.” – reports the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Chechen Republic.
Mezhiev noted that such meetings help to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between peoples, and also allow Muslim communities to exchange experiences and develop new forms of cooperation. Eminov emphasized that the interaction of Muslim regions plays an important role in strengthening the unity of the Islamic community.
