The Canary Islands are joining forces to respond to victims of the terrible damage in Valencia, Andalusia and Castile-La Mancha, organizing collection points to deliver aid to the islands. “The Canary Islands know what a natural disaster is”this is one of the messages which, evoking the help received by Spanish society in the La Palma volcano, calls today to help the neighbors affected by this deadly flood.
Whether public or private, through collective or entrepreneurial initiative, the inhabitants of the Canary Islands were quick to coordinate the send help, from work materials, health products, medicines or machines.
In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, carnival groups were organized in the Rodriguez Quegles Palacelocated at 4, Escritor Benito Pérez Galdós Street, to organize the sending of aid. Carnival groups will receive items this Monday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One of the first collection points activated was the Maio Movement Yoga Center, on the street Mgr Rabadán nº35which launched a call for participation via social networks, in particular with cleaning and personal hygiene products.
