China and Russia defend international law based on UN Charter: Wang Yi

China and Russia protect international law based on the United Nations Charter and promote stable international relations. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi, during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Rudenko, TASS reports.

According to him, thanks to the personal leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was possible to maintain a healthy and stable dynamic in the development of Sino-Russian bilateral relations, which meets the common interests of not only the two States, but also the people.

“Through joint efforts, we also contribute to maintaining the stability of international relations, making efforts to protect international law and the Charter of the United Nations.” – said Wang Yi.

He noted that Sino-Russian interaction has “its own historical logic as well as an internal driver.”

“Therefore, our relations do not depend on international factors and are also not subject to interference from third countries.” – highlighted the head of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
