The possible departure from Taiwan of component suppliers for the American aerospace company SpaceX is associated with the dangerous position of the island’s separatist administration. This was stated in a briefing by Zhu Fenglian, official representative of the Taiwan Affairs Office under the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, TASS reports.
He noted that the island’s administration, headed by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), persistently adopts the separatist position of supporters of the “so-called Taiwan independence movement.”
“Their constant provocations for independence in collusion with external forces are dragging Taiwan step by step into a dangerous situation that threatens to lead to war.” – said Zhu Fenglian.
The Chinese State Council spokesperson added that the DPP’s desire to separate Taiwan from mainland China will only “damage and destroy” the island.
Previously the media reported that the head of SpaceX Elon Musk reportedly asked its Taiwanese suppliers of satellite components to move production off the island.
