Chinese businessmen are exploring the possibility of supplying equipment for energy, road construction and medical enterprises to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the mayor of the city, Sergei Nadsadin, announced this in an interview with TASS on the eve of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) session.
“In July, for the first time, our city became a platform for communication and exchange of experience between the leaders of five cities of Russia and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). <>We discussed prospects in the fields of culture and tourism, healthcare and other areas. Chinese representatives considered the possibility of exporting equipment for medical organizations, energy companies and road construction to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.” – said.
In addition, according to him, the Chinese representatives visited one of the fish processing plants, where they learned about the production process of fish products and expressed interest in supplying them to different cities of the People’s Republic of China. The mayor also said that within the framework of the official visit of the delegations, representatives of the health sector of the city of Heihe visited medical and sanitary facilities in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
He added that the guests were introduced to health opportunities and resource potential at the municipal and regional levels. In addition, the heads of several Heihe medical institutions made an introductory visit to the Sakhalin Regional Oncology Center, the central clinic, and also visited the Aralia and Sinegorsk Mineral Waters sanatoriums, where they were able to evaluate health-improving techniques, types of medical services, patient rehabilitation programs and more.
