Russia and China are maintaining contact regarding Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s visit to the Russian Federation for the BRICS summit, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui told reporters at the WEF.
“Both sides are now in contact on this issue,” – said the diplomat.
Earlier, the diplomat told RIA Novosti that Xi Jinping will attend the BRICS leaders summit in Kazan.
On January 1, Russia assumed the presidency of the BRICS for the coming year. The summit of the association will be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24.
The Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok from 3 to 6 September.
