38 -year -old Anun Chen and Lern Lei, 39 years old, were charged with agents for the Chinese government and maximally for ten years of prison in case of conviction, in accordance with the ministry.
According to the ministry, the arrest of Chen, living in the Khabi Valley, Oregon, came to Houston’s mandate in Texas with a tourist visa on Friday.
According to the criminal complaint, Chen Willy participated in a number of intelligence events in the United States for the China Ministry of State Security.
The measures included the payment of monetary amounts in exchange for information related to American national security, and the desire to recruit elements from the US Navy for the Chinese Ministry of State Security.
“This issue is emphasized by the continuous and aggressive efforts of the Government of the Chinese government to penetrate our army and undermine our national security from the inside,” the Minister of Justice Pamela Bondi said in her statement.
According to the criminal complaint, Lei Chen, who has a permanent resolution in the United States, was sold to work in the Chinese Ministry of State Security in 2021.
