THE President of Navarre, Maria Chiviteand the lehendakari, Imanol Pradalesagreed to begin work to renew the collaboration protocol between the regional community of Navarre and the Basque Autonomous Communityprotocol which was last updated in 2021As they explained after the meeting, the updating of said collaboration will give a new rhythm to the “fundamental issues”, among which is the “Basque”.
Chivite and Pradales held their first meeting this Wednesday in Pamplonain which they addressed issues such as connection of the high-speed rail corridor with the Y Basque and the defense of the Basque Concert and the Navarrese Convention.
The Navarrese president described the meeting as “absolute normality”. “The citizens demand that our two governments collaborate with the same cordiality with which Navarrese and Basques live together day to day“This is the spirit that characterizes the protocol that we signed in 2021 and on which we have started working today with the aim of updating it within a few months,” he explained.
