Garbine Basterra will be the new general director of Energy, commercial R&D&I and entrepreneurship of the Government of Navarraoccupying the position he is leaving Uxue Itoizwho will assume general management of the public company European Innovation Center (CEIN).
As the Government of Navarre indicated in a press release, this change will be agreed “in the near future”. Until now, Basterra led the Business Competitiveness and S4 Servicewhich is attached to General Directorate of Business Development.
For his part, Itoiz will lead the public company CEINwhose objective is to promote innovative and entrepreneurial projects, in collaboration with the different services of the Government of Navarra.
The appointments “reinforce the commitment of the Regional Executive with the promotion of entrepreneurshipTHE digitization and the transition to a more economical economy sustainable And innovative. These are principles that are reflected in the provincial bill of Industry And Business development“, and come from two professionals “with extensive experience in these fields”.
Garbiñe Basterra Olóriz born in Pamplona-Iruña In 1983. She is a technical engineer in Management IT and senior engineer in Computer science for the Public University of Navarra (UPNA). He is in a relationship and has two daughters.
Additionally, he bears the titles of University expert in Data Science and Big Data for Business Intelligence And University expert in the organization and management of health servicesalso for the UPNA. Has knowledge of English And Basque at different levels of competition.
His entire professional career took place Administration of the Foral Community of Navarrawhere he has held various functions since the year 2006. From 2011holds the position of mid-level technician in Computer systems of the Government of Navarra.
Until the year 2015worked as BI Technician in the General Directorate of IT and Telecommunications. Of 2015 to 2018was head of negotiation Strategic assessment inside Ministry of Health.
Later, between 2020 and 2023held the position of section head in several sectors of the Department of Industry, Ecological Transition and Business Digitalincluding the section head of Observatory and Tourist Innovation and of Digitalization of businesses.
In 2023was appointed director of Business Competitiveness and S4 Service in the same department.
