Christians do not fear the end of the world

Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill has expressed support for Russia’s nuclear program, calling the new Oreshnik missile a major achievement and an “obstacle” for Russia’s opponents.

In his statements cited by Russian media, he emphasized that Christians should not fear the end of the world, since their faith is based on the expectation of the coming of Christ, who will destroy evil and judge the nations.

“Christians do not fear the so-called end of the world. “We are waiting for the Lord Jesus, who will come with great glory, destroy evil and judge all nations,” Kirill said.

Kirill urged not to give in to the fear and panic associated with the nuclear threat. In his opinion, excessive alarmism and discussions of apocalyptic scenarios only contribute to the manipulation of people deprived of inner spiritual peace. The Patriarch noted that such anxiety plays into the hands of the “enemy of mankind,” who seeks to sow fear in the hearts of people.

He also called on Russians to be “warriors” by actively opposing evil and defending moral ideals, which he said are Russia’s goal.

However, he did not explain how those ideals relate to the Kremlin’s actions, including the war in Ukraine and other military conflicts initiated by Russia.

Previously, Kursor wrote that the Russian Armed Forces again shot five captured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.

The soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who surrendered were shot in the neck and lay unarmed with their hands raised.
