On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Turkish invasion of 1974, the president of the Cyprus Republic Nicos Khristodulids, sent a clear message through the post on the X:
“51 years later, Türkiye still holds 37% of our land illegally. She is responsible, according to all decisions of the international community, for the ongoing violation of human rights of all Cypriots – Cypriots -Greeks, Turkish Cypriots, Maronites, Armenians and Latinites – in their own place.
Turkey actions are a clear violation of international and European law, the United Nations, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus. They are also an undeniable insult to the fundamental freedoms and rights of all Cypriots.
Sirens of tragedies continue to sound. We do not forget, we do not compromise, we do not accept.
Neoture is not a solution. We do not accept the section. Our goal remains to put an end to the illegal occupation, liberation and reunification of our country.
Under the guidance of memory and law, we continue our struggle for a sustainable and functional decision based on UN resolutions and European acquisitions.

The Prime Minister of Greece, Kiriakos Mitsoikotis, said that a fair solution to the problem of Cyprus is the issue of international law and culture of the 21st century. Cyprus remains divided, but the struggle for reunion, peace and justice remains alive, in the center of international attention and national interests.
