Chronicle of West Azerbaijan: “Historical monuments were looted and valuables were sold in Karabakh”

Within the framework of the Chronicle of West Azerbaijan project, the program “The Great Albanian Footprint in Kyrgyzstan”, presented by Elchin Alibeyli, Ph.D.

In the program, Doctor of Philosophy in History, Associate Professor Tavakkul Aliyev spoke about the fake excavations carried out by Armenians in Karabakh during the occupation period, as well as about Albanian vestiges in Kyrgyzstan.

He said that during the occupation, Armenians carried out continuous and long-lasting excavations in several places in Karabakh:

“The Armenians dug 10-kilometer trenches in the Shahbulag area. They looted historical monuments in Karabakh and sold the valuables found. They looted the monuments in the Aghdara area. The samples of material culture found in Azerbaijan are sold on world markets “.

Speaking about the Armenian forgery, the historian highlighted that the Armenians set fire to the ancient Albanian fortress and burned it:

“They name the oil-rich Tarnoyut village as Tigranakert and the Gachag fortress as Kachakhabert.”

According to him, a Georgian author named Noneshvili writes about cube tombs that the number of cube tombs in Azerbaijan is several times greater than that of Armenia and Georgia, and that the main place of cube tombs was the territory of Azerbaijan.

In the end, T. Aliyev spoke of the presence of a large Albanian footprint in Kyrgyzstan and demonstrated with evidence that the rule of the Turks in the Caucasus dates back to before that time:

“The ethnocultural characteristics that existed in the Albanian state since the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC are also experienced in present-day Azerbaijan. The tribes and peoples living in Albania live in Azerbaijan today. When we say Albania, Azerbaijan, it is what same, common history for all.”

It should be remembered that the goal of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project is to preserve and promote the name of our historical lands, as well as to learn about the deportation of Azerbaijanis by the Armenians, the toponyms that existed in those territories, but their names. Countless examples of underground and surface material culture have been erased: ancient settlements, necropolises, tumuli, remains of a castle, palace and fortification, caravansary, bridges, funerary chests, stone crosses, statues of horses and rams, temples, churches. Mosques, pyres and homes are revealed, and facts confirming that the area is a pure Oghuz-Turk settlement are communicated to the world community.

Also the president Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said: “The map of the beginning of the 20th century shows once again that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and towns are of Azerbaijani origin and we know very well that Azerbaijanis on the territory of present-day Armenia throughout history people have lived. Now the main task is for the world community to also know it”, – in his opinion, it is about promoting the duties that arise from the Concept of Return developed by him. the Community of West Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, it aims to illuminate the thoughts of historians and researchers about Western Azerbaijan and the life history of the people who were deported.
