He International Film and Speech Festival, CiBRA, began its sixteenth edition with the traditional opening gala, presented by Ramón Merlo and Daniel Moreno, during a ceremony in which a minute of silence was observed for the victims of DANA in Andalusia, Castilla- La Mancha and the Comunitat Valencian.
The Party CiBRA decided to reserve a zero line in each of the projections pso that the public can donate an amount, who will the money go to entirely intended for the Spanish Red Crosswho will be responsible for distributing it to all those affected by the floods that have hit Spain and these cities in recent days.
During the opening gala, the mayor of La Puebla de Montalbán, Soledad de Frutos, had words of remembrance for the localities affected by this extraordinary meteorological phenomenon and revealed that it was considering the possibility of suspending all its activities, but it was decided to collaborate with the victims. In this sense, encouraged all viewers and participants to support the campaign fundraising so that the Red Cross can invest it in serving the population who need it most.
Soledad de Frutos thanked the organizers and members of CiBRA for not forgetting their roots and continuing to support the Toledan town of La Puebla de Montalbán, even though it took the plunge a few years ago to the city from Toledo.
Cinema and literature
Regarding the gala, cinema and speech, CiBRA programming axes, were the protagonists and in which humor was present. The masters of ceremonies Ramón Merlo and Daniel Moreno were responsible for his “gags” to transmit it to all the participants.
To achieve their goal, they staged a match simulation tennis between “Ci” and “Bra”. Two words which define, on the one hand, the seventh art aspect of CiBRA and, on the other hand, the literary aspect of this competition cultural which has consolidated itself in the regional panorama.
A tennis match in which the public collaborated by singing the points of each game, shouting “Ci” or “Bra”, depending on the winner. The competition ended in a draw and Merlo and Moreno ended up toasting more success for the Film and Word Festival.
This ceremony served to raise the curtain on this festival which, after a week of programming, offered four previews, three literary presentations in Toledo and Puebla de Montalbán and has an extensive program until November 9, the date of closing gala at El Auditorium Gréco.
