Civil Guard investigates alleged group sexual assault in Sariñena (Huesca)

The Civil Guard has opened an investigation in the town of Sariñena (Huesca) for an alleged collective sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 1, during the patron saint’s festivities. The victim, who according to reliable sources is a minor, reported the facts this week. The Government Subdelegation in Huesca confirmed the existence of the complaint, as did the Sariñena City Council, without providing further details.

According to what the Heraldo de Aragón published, the attackers could be several young people and everything indicates that they and the alleged victim would be minors. The investigations continue to develop and suggest that the alleged sexual assault would have taken place in a youth discotheque or near the fairgrounds where, due to bad weather conditions, the musical performances scheduled in the festival program were taking place. The municipality confirms that a Purple Point for the reception and care of victims of gender violence has been located and has remained active and that security measures have been reinforced.
