Civil Guard recovers 2,200 kilos of fruit and arrests 11 people in operation against theft in the countryside

Agents from the Civil Guard’s Roca team – the unit dedicated to rural robberies – have 11 people arrested this Wednesday linked to a series of thefts of watermelons and melons in various areas of Aljarafe. This operation is part of an investigation that began on June 15 and which resulted in the recovery of 2,200 kilos of fruit.

The detainees are linked to five robbery offences in the cities of Villamanrique de la Condesa and AznalcázarThe arrests took place on different days, but all coincided with the harvesting campaign for the said fruits.

First, the agents identified and detained five people who were linked to robberies with force in several properties in the municipality of Villamanrique. The second operation resulted in the arrest of three others people for the same reasons, and eventually they stopped three others more suspected thieves.
