The President of the Generalitat asks the population to be extremely careful
The Civil Protection of the Generalitat sent an alert this Monday around 8:30 a.m. to cell phones in the region of Baix Llobregat (Barcelona) given the probability of rains which, in the coming hours, could be continuous and torrential in this area.
In an ‘X’ message collected by Ep, the organization requested extreme precautions, to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from streams and ravines even if it is not raining heavily at any given time.
He Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC) issued this Monday morning a severe weather warning in several areas of Barcelona and Tarragona, including Baix Llobregat itself, where it decreed a maximum degree of danger.
For the moment, there is at least 26 Catalan regions on alert in the face of the passage of DANA, which has been affecting the entire Iberian Peninsula for more than a week, with particular virulence in the Valencian Community.
The president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illacalled for extreme caution due to rains in the affected regions of Barcelona and Tarragona and warned: “We remain on alert.”
“Exercise caution and follow all advice and recommendations emergency services”, he recommended in one of the messages he published this Monday on his “X” profile warning of the possible effects of the storm.
