The “CodeForFuture” project, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organizes various events to increase the knowledge and skills of university students studying in the field of information technologies starting from 2021. The main goal of this innovative project is to support the development of students by providing them with the necessary equipment and materials, and to provide Azerbaijan’s rapidly developing technological ecosystem with a highly qualified workforce.
Within the framework of the “CodeForFuture” project, 4,800 students from leading higher education institutions of the country, such as Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, were supported. In addition to Baku, the project continues successfully in other regions, including Lankaran State University, Sumgayit State University and Ganja State University, with the support of the Digital Innovation and Development Agency.
One of the main factors contributing to the success of the “CodeForFuture” initiative is the cooperation with educational centers such as “Code Academy” and “Algorithmika”. These centers offer students quality classes in full-stack programming, quality control engineering, system administration, IT support (Helpdesk), cybersecurity basics, and CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks. The offered programs integrate advanced IT knowledge and skills into the academic curriculum. In addition to this, teacher training is also conducted in order to increase the country’s digital literacy within the framework of the project.
Today, the “CodeForFuture” project is growing by attracting students who want to learn modern IT skills and training a new generation of professionals who contribute to the development of the Azerbaijani economy, allowing them to fully realize their potential.
