This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports on the topic “On the role of non-governmental organizations in the development of physical culture and sports” in Ufa.
“Even in formally free sections and training centers, parents are forced to spend considerable sums on their children’s equipment and on renting playgrounds… If, when I was actively playing sports, I had to pay for all this , I never would have done it. he met the standard of the Master of Sports of the USSR in judo and sambo… My family did not have an extra penny to pay like that. We have to fix everything, there should be no contributions. I spoke to officials and they told me they didn’t have enough money and needed to prioritize. The State has enough money to cover the most important things.” – Putin said.
“Of course, in modern conditions, in the conditions in which we live… citizens and families, in certain cases, should and can also participate in this co-financing. But you have to know moderation in everything. “In our country, sometimes no one takes action, they don’t perceive or feel the limits, that’s what it’s all about,” Putin added.
According to him, the forced pause in the extensive participation of Russians in international competitions is not a reason to reduce the quality of training of new generations of athletes, to weaken control over the rules of competitions and medical and biomedical support to the sport.
