It’s already official (because today, Friday October 18, the 2025 work calendar was published in Official State Gazette). The year 2025 will have twelve days what will they be vacation in Spainnine of which are common to all autonomous communities.

Of these twelve days, eight are public holidays not replaceable:

The 9 common public holidays in 2025

  • January 1: New Year (Wednesday)
  • January 6: Epiphany of the Lord (Monday)
  • April 18: Good Friday (Friday)
  • May 1: Labor Day (Thursday)
  • August 15: Assumption of the Virgin (Friday)
  • November 1: All Saints’ Day (Saturday)
  • December 6: Spanish Constitution Day (Saturday)
  • December 8: Immaculate Conception (Monday)
  • December 25: Nativity of the Lord (Thursday)

And the rest of the vacation?

In addition to these eight holidays, all autonomous communities will celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord (January 6)one of the national holidays that the State allows to be replaced by another regional one. Note that next year it falls on a Sunday National Day of Spain (October 12).

Of the other three days of celebration, until twelve are completed, the most regionsexcept Catalonia and Valencian Communityalso chose to celebrate the Maundy Thursdaywhile the rest of the chosen days are widely distributed throughout the calendar.
