Competition for the Corps of Senior Technicians of Archives, Libraries and Museums of the Community of Madrid: conditions, dates and exams

THE Community of Madrid requested competitions, by free teams, to cover 10 places in the Corps of Technicians Higher Faculties of Archives, Libraries and Museums. Among the places called, one place is reserved for disabled people.

What conditions must I meet to join the Corps of Technicians of the Higher Faculties of Archives, Libraries and Museums?

In addition to general requirements such as Spanish nationality; reaching the age of majority and not exceeding the maximum retirement age; or having the functional capacity to perform the required functions. Specific requirements are added, such as having a university degree. Diploma, Bachelor, Engineer or Architect.

In addition, persons attending the disabled quota must provide proof of a Score of 33%.

When can I submit my application? How can I do it?

The deadline for submitting applications begins on September 20 and ends October 17, 2024.

Applications must be submitted via telematic means through the Web page of the Community of Madrid. Where the appropriate forms must be completed and the required documents attached.

What will the exams for the Corps of Senior Technicians of Archives, Libraries and Museums look like?

The selection process will be governed by free opposition and a selective route.

Opposition

The opposition phase will consist of three exercises. In the first Among them, candidates must answer 10 questions related to the agendas of sectoral regulations and archives, documentary sources and reference bibliography.

In the second Candidates must develop in writing two of the four possible topics proposed by the Court. Two of them will be taken from the History of Spanish and Madrid Institutions and their documentary production program, and the other two from the Archival block.

Finally, in the third Those attending this appeal must resolve in writing three practical cases proposed by the Court:

  • First practical case: this will involve the standardized description, the paleographic and diplomatic analysis and the historical-institutional commentary of an original document or a simple documentary unit or a reliable digital copy between the 11th and 18th centuries.
  • Second practical case: this will involve the standardized description, the analysis of the administrative procedure and the historical-institutional commentary of a file or a documentary unit composed of the 19th or 20th centuries.
  • Third practical case: this will be an archiving course in which practical knowledge of any aspect of the subjects corresponding to blocks III and IV of the specific program of the program will be assessed.

Selective course

People who pass the opposition phase must follow a selective course whose objective is acquisition of skills and knowledge necessary to perform the functions required in the position.
