The municipality of Murchant is preparing to experience a weekend full of activities on the occasion of its Medieval fair and marketwhich will take place on November 8 to 10.
This annual festival, which has already become a reference in the regionbrings together neighbors and visitors to enjoy a varied program including traditional events, exhibitions and medieval-inspired shows.
The program starts on Friday November 8 with the awards ceremony of the “Tomasz Watorsky Memorial” photo rally at the Maison de la Culture, an event which will include the screening of the winning photos and a performance by the “Ixeya” group. This first day serves as a prelude to a weekend full of activities for all ages.
The main course arrives Saturday November 9 with the Transhumance Exhibitiona tradition that allows participants to witness the arrival of livestock in the municipality, culminating in Calle Mayor, where much of the day’s activities will be concentrated. This event connects participants with the rural customs of the region and highlights the value of preserving ancestral practices such as transhumance.
Saturday, the IV Medieval Market and Fair in the Basiano Placettewhere from 11:00 a.m. the sales stands will open and the parades with medieval characters will begin.
The fair will feature a wide range of activities, including a magic showTHE forge a sword at the forge, participatory children’s theater, live music and belly dancing, promising an immersive experience in medieval times. At nightfall, visitors will be able to participate in a children’s fightwatch torchlight parades and enjoy a fire show with live music, dancing and folk burning.
Additionally, during the day there will be a popular cuisine with cider house menu at the sports center, which includes traditional entrances, grilled steaks and kupela ciderand will end with a performance of DJ “Lokura Kachopo”. At night, the celebration will take place at Fueros Squarewhere a festival of the “Nueva Era” orchestra and a distribution of bread, wine and nuts will take place.
He Sunday November 10the party will continue with the auroras in the streets of the group of Auroros “Virgen del Rosario”, followed by a distribution of free toasts in the streets. Fueros Square. The day will also include a Solemn Eucharist and procession in honor of the Holy Christ, accompanied by fanfares of bugles and drums, and will end with a play at the House of Culture.
With a combination of activities for all ages, Murchant offers a weekend of immersion in medieval culture and local traditions, inviting everyone to participate in a unique experience that saves the history and folklore of the region.

10:00. Departure in search of cattle towards the town of “La Torre”.
