Concern in Valencia about sludge in sewers due to new DANA alert

These alerts from the National Meteorological Agency are active from 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in the case of the northern coast of Alicante and south of Valencia, and from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, in the case of the Castellón coast. at 9 p.m. this Wednesday, the orange alert will also be activated on the north coast of Valencia.

In the rest of the provinces of València and Castellón there is a yellow warning for rains that can accumulate up to 30 liters per square meter in one hour and 80 l/m2 in 12 hours.

Aemet also activated the yellow alert for coastal phenomena on the coasts of the three provinces, where there will be north and northeast winds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour (force 7) and waves between 3 and 4 meters.

More than a hundred municipalities, without classes

More than a hundred municipalities in the Valencian Community remain closed this Wednesday, November 13 due to climate change caused by heavy rains, according to data provided by the Ministry of Education based on information provided by town halls.

Thus, until ten in the morning, a total of 101 localities reported the suspension of classes. In the province of Valencia, sanctioned by the DANA of October 29, there are 53 municipalities.
