The mayor of Cordoba, Jose Maria Bellidoand the delegate of the Historical Center, Heavy Moralsreported this Monday more than 40 activities organized within the framework of the XVII World Congress of the OWHC (Organization of World Heritage Cities), which brings together between September 24 and 27 mayors, councilors or technicians of 65 cities of Cordoba declared world heritage. The habitability of historic centres will be discussed with a panel of mayors and experts; strategic axes promote, “which are already defined in the roadmap of Quebecand that they will become addicted to the Córdoba Way, which will be the result of a final declaration of the World Congress”, among which are the reclassification of housing; refreshing the city; transforming mobility and regenerating the urban environment, in order to concentrate it in what is called the new urban project. As for the activities, from September 21 to 28 in the Plaza de las Tendillas there will be an exhibition of large format photographs of all the recorded assets that the cities that will participate in the world congress have, “so that all citizens know who they are, what they represent and what heritage is present in the city.”
A day on innovation and urban heritage will be held at the Visitors’ Centre, “which allows those who are not part of the organisation to participate” and “open to every citizen“, on September 25 and 26, to address issues such as “active management of the heritage of trades, industry and historic public works.”
In addition, from September 23 to 28, a tour of the Citizen Participation and Seniors delegations will be organized, so that residents, particularly seniors in the city, in groups, can learn about and obtain information on the historical heritage Cordoba and the important figures in the city’s history.
On September 24, a dramatized visit will take place at Julio Romero de Torres Museum to also link these activities to the 150th anniversary of the Cordovan painter and to the celebration of the congress of heritage cities.

The soprano will be the soloist.
