In Baku and other regions of the republic, the police held criminally responsible several website administrators who took their money under the threat of spreading embarrassing information about small and medium-sized businesses.
Oku.Az informs that, based on numerous complaints received by the General Department of Organized Crime of the Ministry of Interior (MIA), Seymur Mammadov, CEO of Aztvnews.az, Zaur Ahmadov, CEO of Gaynar-khett.az, Zaur Ahmadov, Postbaku. net”, Eldeniz Mejdunov, general director of the news website, and Elvin Gurbanov, general director of “Aja.az”, were identified and detained.
Investigations revealed that they, as a group of pre-conspirators, prepared a video report about the victims that affected their business reputation, threatened to distribute it in the media, and demanded various amounts of money.
S. Mammadova 32, Z. Ahmadova 24, E. Mejdunova 7, E. Gurbanova 10, who were previously convicted in the criminal case initiated by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code in the Investigation Department of the International Criminal Court, were announced and arrested. The criminal case, whose investigation has been concluded, has been sent to the corresponding court.
