Consuegra brings together more than 400 participants in the “Sport and Heritage Circuit”

More than 400 people participated in Consuegra (Toledo) in the ‘Sport and Heritage Tour’ which is part of the program of activities organized by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha as part of the celebration of the “European Sports Region of Castilla-La Mancha 2024”.

Combining physical exercise with the possibility of knowing the rich heritage that our region cherishes is the intention of this original initiative which aims to promote the practice of sport among the population of the region, as was done in Consuegra, which is the city where this “Sport and Heritage Circuit” takes place has been completed and has already covered Almansa, Campo de Criptana, Alarcón and Sigüenza, towns with an important cultural and architectural heritage.

This was highlighted by the provincial delegate for Equality, Nuria Cogolludo, who wanted to share this meeting with sport and culture in Consaburense “during which we were able to take advantage of the workshop and course offerings which have been developed and which have received a magnificent welcome from the inhabitants of Consuegra, especially young people for whom this type of activity is an excellent opportunity to incorporate the values ​​of sport into their lives.

Nuria Cogolludo highlighted the place chosen as the nerve center of this circuit, which was the Plaza of Spain in Consuegraone of the exceptional heritage, cultural and social environments of this city particularly recognized for its mills.

It is at this location in the city that the 30 by 30 meter space of the “Sport and Heritage Circuit” was created, divided into four different zones, like a stage where group Zumba and yoga classes took place. stretching; the fitness area, where spinning is the main sport; the children’s area dedicated to athletics, and a fourth area for the development of archery and climbing workshops.

Nuria Cogolludo had the opportunity to exchange impressions with the participants of this activity, as well as to practice some sports of the circuit with the advisors of the government team of the Consuegra City Hall Javier Gálvez, Rebeca Romero, Carlos Gutiérrez and Laura Watery. .
