Faced with the scale of the emergency, solidarity has spread throughout the country and several collection spaces have been set up to help those affected.
The Valencian Community is experiencing one of the greatest tragedies of recent decades. The DANA that occurred a few days ago hit the region with unprecedented violence, leaving a death toll of 215 deaths and hundreds of missing. Around 845,371 residents witnessed how their homes, vehicles, businesses and dreams were swept away by the force of nature. The destruction spreads 69 municipalities of the province of Valencia, who are trying to recover from one of the worst climatic disasters that Spain has experienced so far this century.

From non-perishable foods to clothing and hygiene products, donations are essential to meeting the needs of those affected during these difficult times.

Santiago de Compostela: Confort & Co. (Plaza Duque de Mandas, 21). Available Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. They receive non-perishable food, water, milk, diapers and personal hygiene products.

Donostia: Reale Arena Stadium (South Garage, next to Gate 17). Open weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They collect food and basic necessities.

Donostia: Ecofincas San Sebastián (Paseo de Herrera, 86, back door). Available Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They receive hygiene products, water, milk, non-perishable foods, clothing, blankets, diapers, baby and pet food.

Irun: Anaka-Puiana Neighborhood Group (Emajador Pedro de Aristegi Street, 6-7 under). Open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. They collect non-perishable food items, water, pet food, warm clothing, blankets, baby clothes and towels.

Hondarribia: Hondarribiko Emakumeak (Local de Alkain, Calle Zuloaga, 2). Coordinated with Anaka pick-up in Irun, the schedule is Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They receive food, clothing and basic necessities.

Errenteria: Pontika Neighborhood Association (Pontika Fronton Local): Also in coordination with Anaka, they collect food, clothing and basic necessities. Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Amorebieta-Etxano: Fronton Zelaieta. Available from Monday 4 to Wednesday 6, they receive blankets, non-perishable foods, hygiene products, water, candles, batteries and flashlights, as well as boxes and seals to organize the ‘shipping.

Durango: Aita Menni, José Miel Barandiarán residence. They are collecting monetary donations in collaboration with Cáritas Valencia to purchase blankets and basic food.

Durango: Dayky (Kalebarria, 17). Open Monday November 13. They collect humanitarian aid like shovels, buckets, diapers, wipes and clean water. The profits will be sent to Valencia on November 22.

Durango: Durangoko Kalekumeak. Located in Matxinesteta, 10, available Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and in the “Rematando Ando” store on Mikeldi Street. The profits will be sent to Valencia on Thursday 7.

Durango: Bar Pitxi (Alluitz Street). They receive water, medicines, baby food, baby milk, diapers, buckets, shovels, rakes, mobile chargers, generators, personal hygiene products and products non-perishable groceries. The equipment will be transported to Valencia on Wednesday 6.

Vitoria: San Prudencio School (Calle del Duque de Wellington, 4). They receive non-perishable foods, bottles of water and hygiene products at the concierge desk from Monday to Thursday from 3:00 p.m.

Iruña de Oca: Iruña de Oca Town Hall (Parque José Antonio Lehendakari Agirre, 1). Donations will be collected at the Nanclares fronton from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. They receive food, but also masks, diapers, boots and other items to remove the mud.
For those who prefer to collaborate financially, the Red Cross has activated several donation channels. You can contribute via their website or by calling 900 104 971. It is also possible to send an SMS with the word “HELP” to the number 28092 (1.20 euros), 30088 (3 euros) or 38092 (6 euros ). Additionally, you can perform bank transfers or donations for Bizum.
