On November 12, within the framework of COP29, the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Italian company “Italgas”.
SOCAR informed AZERTAC that the agreement was signed by SOCAR Vice President Elshad Nasirov and “Italgas” General Director Paolo Gallo.
The companies will cooperate in the exchange of best practices and technologies in order to accelerate the energy transition and digitalization, as well as the decarbonization of infrastructure through the detection of gas leaks using “Picarro” technology, as well as the digitalization of the process through the existing flexible methodology.
The document serves to strengthen the strategic partnership between the parties aimed at promoting innovation, efficiency and sustainability in the field of gas distribution.
