Liputan6.com, Copenhagen – Copenhagen has a unique way to encourage sustainable tourism, where tourists can enjoy tourism events, such as traveling by electric motor boat, with one condition – collect garbage.
Quote NDTVOn Friday (4/7/2025), this initiative is part of the Copenpai program, which was held during the summer from mid -June to the end of August. The goal is to make this city cleaner, giving tourists valuable experience.
As Rotio Gomez survived, a tourist from Mexico, who works in the field of sustainable development. He enjoyed the clock trip on the Copenhagen channel, not paying a dime. Instead, he collects plastic waste and other waste, using bamboo networks during a cruise.
“This is fun and also useful,” said Rosio, who claimed to be interested in trying other events in Copenpai while in Copenhagen.
The usual rental price of this electric boat is about 95 US dollars or about 1.5 million rubles.
Copenpai not only offers a boat trip. About 100 events can be used in the same way:
- Take garbage with free coffee and cakes for an hour exchange.
- Get money in a restaurant after participating in gardening.
- A free tour for tourists who live for more than three days.
This program is open to everyone, not just for tourists. Nevertheless, enthusiasts should first register through the official Copenpay website, because the quota is limited. For example, in Goboat, only 60 participants can participate every Tuesday and Thursday in the morning.
