The Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ) launched the festival Cordoba createswhich in its first edition will focus on music. It will take place on November 14, 15 and 16, and has the particularity of offering both conventional concerts and others in which the artists come out of a competition process with a professional jury.
This cultural event is, for the Junta de Andalucía, the evolution of the Eutopía Festival, recently closed after numerous editions since 2006, during which it had a large audience. budget and a lot of impact in the city. In this sense, the regional institution indicated that the change is due to the drop in participation recorded in Eutopía since 2014.
The Córdoba Crea festival is characterized in this first edition by the participation of the public in the aforementioned selection of artists by jury. As the concert organizer explained, Manu Bermejothe process will take place by sending “reels” to the Córdoba Crea Fest Instagram until October 27.

A jury from the organization will choose between seven and ten artists, who will win a prize of 300 euros and will perform on November 8 at the Glam Vial hall. Córdoba Crea begins on November 14 with the II Planneo Flamenco Festival in the old Osio cinema, in Plaza de Cañero. It will host performances by Nicolás Díaz Liñán (guitar), Manuela Moya (vocals), Francisco Carmona (flute) and Daniela Bellido (dance), with the participation of teachers such as Immaculate Aranda and Rafael Montilla Chaparro.
From there, “the festival devotes its first day to conceptual music and independentwith artists who merge different genres; and the second is electronic and contemporary music aimed at a wider audience,” Bermejo clarified.
So, on the 15th, in the C3A black box, where the winners of the competition will perform, there will also be Pedro JanelaNur Nur, Moonenginer and Lalola. On the 16th, outside the C3A, Nastia, Lady Starlight, Absen, Durand, Las Virus, Belly and Hugo Durán will perform.
Additionally, the festival will feature a show titled ‘Disturbing bodiesof the artistic company Artes del Espectáculo which will present a live artistic intervention. It will take place on the 16th in front of C3A.
The “Disturbing Bodies” series are performances that “develop the idea of bound and alienated bodies that succumb to a pace unstoppable like that of the tides or the stars in their orbits,” explained the festival coordinator.
A live artistic intervention, which will focus on the body, will be one of the most innovative proposals.
“Similarly, it alludes to the disturbing nature of bodies and forms predisposed in an almost human way or that act disconnected from their environment, as in a transcendence that goes beyond the present being, using electronic music as a vehicle,” he said. he declared.
As stated by Bermejo, the Córdoba Crea Fest 2024 “promises to be a diverse artistic and cultural experience, positioning itself as one of the most notable events of the cultural agenda from Cordoba.
