THE Costa Blanca Cup The registration process for the 2025 championship begins. The international grassroots football tournament will reach its 31st edition and will take place between July 6 and 12 next year while the futsal event, which reaches its twentieth edition, will take place a week before, from July 2 to 6. As every year, the Marina Baja and the Marina Alta, whose nerve center is in Benidorm, will become the world center of the training categories. The last edition, in the summer of 2024, brought together a total of 260 teams, 200 participating in the football tournament and 60 in the indoor tournament, representing 22 countries from the continents of Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
Regarding the football championship, the tournament structure is divided into age categories in different sections, male and female, for the 11 and 8-year-old football competition. “From an organizational point of view, we are preparing the next edition practically from the day after the conclusion of the 30th Costa Blanca Cup and the 19th Futsal Cup. We are satisfied with its development, but we always have a spirit of improvement, an intention to positively refine the experience of the participants and work for continuous growth. In 2025, in addition, we will be in a special moment for the futsal tournament, since we have reached two decades”, considers the director of CBC, Fernando Brotons.
The history of this tournament, as is well known, spans 31 years (in the case of football). And as a sign of its capacity for expansion, as already announced at the last inauguration, the name of the Costa Blanca Cup will extend beyond the seas with the first edition of the Costa Blanca Caribbean Cup, which will take place at Easter 2025 in the Dominican Republic.
