Croatia will buy up to 50 Leopard 2A8 tanks from Germany and send its Soviet-style tanks to Ukraine. This was stated today by the head of the Croatian Ministry of Defense, Ivan Anusic, after a meeting with his German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, in Berlin.
“By purchasing Leopard 2 A8 tanks, Croatia can supply Ukraine with 30 battle tanks and 30 infantry fighting vehicles by the end of 2024, said Defense Minister Ivan Anusic,” – US News reports citing Reuters.
The memorandum of understanding signed by Anusic and Pistorius also sets out the intention to send Leopard spare parts and ammunition from Croatian reserves to kyiv with financial support from Germany.
