Crystal Palace plans to appeal in the International Sports Court after he got into the conference league for violation of the Rules of the European Football Association (UEFA) related to many club ownership.
The English club qualified the European league after the victory in the Cup of England at the expense of Manchester City in May last year, but he missed the deadline until the first of March to prove that one of his angel John Zakstad, who was also the owner of the French club Lyon, does not affect more than one club in the same competitions.
The British press agency (BA Media) stated that the financial supervision department, which is associated with the European Football Association, decided that only one of the two teams could participate in the European League, and chose Lyon for his superiority in the agreement of the London club from the interests of Tomcu in two clubs.
Crystal Palace answered in an official statement: “We are very disappointed with UEFA by the UEFA decision to exclude us from the European League.”
He added: “It seems clear that we are not part of the multiple property, and we were not so, and there is no place for some kind of conflict of interests with the beginning of the competition after the sale (eagle football) Woody Johnson.”
The statement continued: “We will continue the pressure to win our business and work with UEFA for a fair decision to return to our right place in the European League, and we will study all possible options, including filing an appeal in a sports court.”
For his part, Crystal Palace, Steve Parsh, described the decision of the team to abandon the conference league as “deadly injustice and bad day in football.”
“Of course, we are in shock, as well as on our fans, I do not think that this decision satisfies to anyone, and the European Football Association also does not satisfy the deprivation of qualified clubs to participate in ridiculous technical details.”
The European Football Association confirmed that the decision is subject to appeal in the International Sports Court.
Crystal Palace will go to the conference league, and its place in the European League will replace the Nutingham forests team, but UEFA has not confirmed this.
The European Football Association was forced to postpone the decision on this case, in anticipation of the result of Lyon’s appeal in relation to the decision of the financial supervision management to fall to the second degree.
Lyon reached the settlement with the European Football Association, saying that he was expelled from European competitions in case of support of the decision to appeal, but the French club won the appeal, and its decrease was canceled from the French premiere -league in the past environment.
