This Oku.AzThe Vice Chancellor for Environmental Affairs of Cuba, who participated in the XXIX session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku, in his speech before Pedro Pedroso saying.
He noted that they had long discussions on the new collective and quantitative target for climate finance, which is the main theme of COP29:
“There are still no figures on future financing from developed countries to developing countries, which is a shame. Because, as you know, the world spends trillions of dollars on defense and wars, and it seems that the Global North is not willing to spend what is necessary to implement the climate agenda and climate action.
