Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who arrived in Baku for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), met with the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli.

It should be noted that the current state of cultural relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and the issue of their future development was discussed at the meeting held in the COP29 pavilion. The ministers then visited the Turkish pavilion.
In his statement to the press, Ersoy stated that there is a significant increase in cultural activities between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
“It is very important to protect cultural values and pass them on to future generations. The flow of tourism has started to increase very seriously in recent years. This year there will be a 15 percent increase in visits from Azerbaijan to Turkey and will reach 900,000 visitors,” said the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.
Later Ersoy also visited the Uzbekistan pavilion and met with the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
