This interesting exhibition aims to offer the visitor a sample of Toledo customs of the 19th century, through the clothing of popular types, as they survive. reflected in the work of the French painter Jules Worms (1832-1924), who visited our country many times, painting many corners, streets and patios of Toledowith lively scenes of daily life featuring majos, manolas and other popular culture figures, such as bullfighters, clerics and friars.

A similar exhibition had never taken place in the city, which has the important collection of original clothing and popular jewelry from the great Toledo-based collector José Iglesias Puente.
